Lagos - The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, has warned against complacency following the country receiving a clean bill of health on the Ebola virus.
Speaking ahead of an event scheduled for Lagos where local volunteers will leave for Ebola-stricken countries, Idris said Nigeria was still "not out of the woods" but vulnerable to the deadly scourge.
He said the country needed to continue to scale up its structures because Ebola "had been a test to its cultural sensitivity."
Idris cautioned Nigerians against complacency but to build on the already established surveillance system and public enlightenment.
